Dr. Gil Melmed: Hi. I'm Dr. Gil Melmed. I'm one of the co‑chairs of the Advances in IBD Regional events. The next will be held on August 22nd, and I'm very excited to invite you and welcome you to participate in our virtual meeting. This meeting will be virtual this year due to the COVID‑19 pandemic.
We will be covering a range of topics, many of which are directly relevant to helping you take better care of your patients, especially during this time. We have a fantastic line‑up of speakers who are going to be delivering key presentations on updates in the management of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
A presentation on what the future of IBD holds in store for us and for our patients in terms of new treatment options that are anticipated to become available soon, dealing with challenging IBD situations, including management of difficult and complex IBD, C. difficile, surgical considerations and more.
We also have special time devoted to COVID‑19 issues and how they may be relevant and impactful, specifically for our patients with IBD and specifically those who may be on immunosuppressive therapies.
Please join me for this event. Follow on Twitter, as well as #AIBDRegionals2020 for more information and to follow along on social media.
